When we talk about non-ablative blepharoplasty, we must imagine an electrical device, the Plexr, which uses the ionization of gases in the air (plasma) to generate a small electric shock that acts at the level of the epidermis, remodeling it.

Plasma brought near the eyelid causes small punctiform “burns” of the superficial horny layer of the skin, with consequent skin retraction and mini lifting effect.

This lifting effect, however, is transient, usually lasting a few months, for a maximum of 6. Furthermore, the post-treatment course is comparable to that of a minimally invasive surgical blepharoplasty, which however lasts for many years. Both procedures involve the use of local anesthesia.
