There are several surgical techniques that allow the correction of congenital ptosis based on the residual function of the elevator muscle.

The shortening of the elevator muscle is aimed at opening the closed eye.

I often meet men with eyelid ptosis present since birth who decide to improve the aesthetics of their gaze in adulthood.

My favorite correction is resection of the elevator muscle to achieve the most effective and natural result possible.

The improvement of a surgical complication varies from patient to patient: certainly cantoplasty alone is not enough to resolve the palpebral malposition.
