Blepharoplasty is the surgical procedure that improves the aesthetic appearance and functionality of the eyelid, during which the skin, muscle tissue and excess adipose tissue is removed and / or reshaped.
Post-operative complications can be observed in a small percentage of cases; some are transient and resolve without the need for further interventions (post-surgical hematomas, post-surgical ptosis), while others require surgical correction.
